He didn’t look lonely at all even though he stood alone onstage. Jang Wooyoung, who recently debuted as a solo singer with his first mini album 23, Male, Single, alone filled every corner of the stage that he used to fill together with his fellow 2PM members. No shadow of 2PM was to be found on Jang Wooyoung’s stage.

Jang Wooyoung’s solo debut showcase was held on the evening of July 9 in Seoul. The singer sang out tracks from his solo album, including Be With You, 2NITE, Only Girl and his album’s first single cut Sexy Lady.

How much practice would he have had to go through for this one performance?

Jang Wooyoung showed off his smooth dance moves as soon as he appeared onstage and poured all his passion into the stage that had been set up just for him.

He grabbed his audience’s attention with a serious and charismatic air, and in the short talk sessions held in between performances he had everyone laughing with his wit.

His skill with talk shone in the performance, having even comedienne Shin Bora, who was there to host the event, say, “Jang Wooyoung certainly has a way with his fans.”

Jang Wooyoung put on a great performance alone, and took his successful first step toward establishing himself as a solo singer. He didn’t leave his group behind, however, as he was helped by the 2PM members cheering him on backstage.
