Jung Seok Won to Appear on Both the Big Screen and Small Screen in August
Jung Seok Won will be hitting the small screen and the big screen at the same time.
The actor recently confirmed his appearance in KBS’ Haeundae Lovers, and is also looking toward the premiere of the film he finished shooting early this year, R2B: Return to Base.
From August he will be trying his luck in both the small screen and the big screen.
Jung Seok Won appears as two different characters in the two pieces.
In Haeundae Lovers, he will be playing the role of Choi Joon Hyuk, an elite lawyer and vice-president of a hotel business. His character will be cold and proud.
For R2B: Return to Base, Jung Seok Won will put on a more powerful and clean-cut image. His role, Master Sergeant Choi Min Ho of the Air Force’s rescue team, came to life with the help of his experience serving as the Marine Corps’ special search party.
A rep from his agency Forestar Entertainment said, “Because he’s already finished shooting the film, for the time being he’ll have to promote the film and shoot Haeundae Lovers at the same time. The schedule is hard to get through in the hot weather, but Jung Seok Won hasn’t been showing any fatigue.”
Jung Seok Won said, “Choi Joon Hyuk of Haeundae Lovers and Master Sergeant Choi Min Ho of R2B: Return to Base are completely different from each other. I’m happy to be able to show another side to myself as an actor, and I’m looking forward to it.”
Haeundae Lovers will air from August 13 after Big comes to a close. R2B: Return to Base will premiere sometime in August.
Haeundae Lovers is a romantic comedy drama about how a prosecutor named Tae Sung (Kim Kang Woo), who used to specialize in apprehending gangsters, loses his memory and gets involved with the local gangs in Haeundae. The shoots will take place entirely on locale in Haeundae.
