Character Still Cuts From Lee Joon Gi′s ‘Arang and the Magistrate’ Posted
MBC has released additional character still cuts for its upcoming Lee Joon Gi and Shin Min Ah-led historic fiction drama.
In MBC’s upcoming Arang and the Magistrate Kwon Oh Joong plays Dol Sweh, the slave of Magistrate Eun Oh (Lee Joon Gi) while Hwang Bo Ra plays the mystical shaman, Bang Wool. The two will play the close advising figures for Lee Joon Gi and Shin Min Ah’s characters respectively.
Regarding his character, Kwon Oh Joong shared, “He’s a guy who doesn’t hold back for his master. Sometimes he comes off as a bit rough and extreme in his actions but he always has a lot care for and depends on Eun Oh. He always speaks his mind.”
Hwang Bo Ra’s Bang Wool is a gifted shaman who can hear, but not speak to ghosts, but comes to be plagued by the ghost Arang (Shin Min Ah).
Hwang Bo Ra spoke candidly about the difficulties of playing her character as she shared, “I don’t know if it’s because it’s a shaman role but with a lot of the lines spoken in old-style Korean I’m still figuring out the style and how to act out the character.”
Arang and the Magistrate will premiere towards the end of July on MBC.
