2NE1’s Sandara Park has had her share of crazy hairstyles ever since her debut with the group, but in her most recent comeback teaser, she outdid herself and managed to surpise fans again with a new hairstyle.

Perhaps inspired by Big Bang G-Dragon’s hairstyle in Fantastic Baby, Sandara Park shaved a good portion of the left side of her head, letting the rest of her hair flow to the right.

The teaser photo was released on YG Entertainment’s official blog on June 26.

So why haven’t fans noticed this shocking hairstyle until now?

It’s because Sandara Park has done a good job hiding the fact in the most recent pictures of her.

In the photo she uploaded onto her me2day on June 25, Sandara Park is covering the new shaved area with her hand, while in the official poster for 2NE1’s New Evolution global tour, a platinum blonde weave is covering it again (perhaps she borrowed a weave from G-Dragon′s stash?).

Fans showed mixed reactions, some are really liking Sandara Park’s daring change while others expressed their sorrow over the new look.

But some fans looked past the hair and noticed the date written on Sandara Park’s teaser, which read ‘2012 0705,’ making fans excited that perhaps this date is the date of 2NE1’s long-awaited comeback.

In related news, 2NE1 is also in preparation for its global concert tour titled New Evolution, where the idol group will travel to seven different countries to meet with overseas fans through concerts. This is the first time a Korean girl idol group will hold a global tour.
