‘G.I. Joe 2’ Delay Causes Park Jin Young’s Movie Premiere to be Pushed to July
The nine month delay of Lee Byung Hun’s Hollywood blockbuster movie G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation is having a repercussive effect on the premiere date of some of next month’s originally scheduled movies.
On May 29, movie distributor CJ Entertainment revealed Park Jin Young’s debut movie Five Million Dollar Man will have its original premiere date delayed to sometime in July.
Five Million Dollar Man was originally scheduled to premiere on June 28 with a large-scale showcase for the movie planned for June 30.
However, according to a source from CJ Entertainment, “Following the delay in premiere of G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation, the line-up of Korea’s movies have gone into adjustment. We are still discussing [Five Million Dollar Man]’s premiere date and showcase date which haven’t yet been decided.
G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation was originally scheduled to premiere on June 29 but was delayed to a tentatively scheduled March 29, 2013 date.
