Lee Seung Gi Talks About End of ‘The King 2Hearts’
Lee Seung Gi opened up on how he felt after the end of MBC’s The King 2Hearts.
The actor spoke of his feelings and his future plans through a post he left on his fancafe Airan, titled, ‘This is South Korea’s King, Lee Jae Ha’, on May 26.
‘I came to say my last goodbyes after going through how I felt after the drama ended,’ he started. ‘I was so happy as Lee Jae Ha since the first shoot on February 1 to the last on May 23.’
Lee Seung Gi acted as South Korea’s King Lee Jae Ha for The King 2Hearts, and partnered up with the North Korean officer role Ha Ji Won. He showed his undying potential by staying strong between such competition as SBS’ Rooftop Prince and KBS2’s The Equator Man.
He said, ‘Actually, during the month of February I was in despair. I felt my limits in acting. I tried to stay alert every day thinking that I shouldn’t be a burden among the great seniors I would be acting with.’
‘Now, I’ve put Lee Jae Ha aside a bit and I’m working hard for the Budokan concert to be held on June 1,’ he added. ‘I believe the live performance will be something different with the participation of [guitarist] Ham Chun Ho hyungnim (big brother). Please look forward to it.’
About recent rumors that he was picked out for another variety program, he joked, ‘Nothing has been confirmed yet. I guess they really need me.’
He then added, ‘I know there are some fans that are worried about [my appearing in] variety, but please be aware that the road I’m on isn’t a stable road, but a challenging road I must pioneer. If I continue on as an actor just because I was praised for my acting now and I’ve opened my eyes to what acting is, everything will start falling backward in a short time.’
He finished, ‘I’ll work hard so that I can come back to you through variety, singing or dramas without rest. I want to thank again and again all of the fans who loved King Lee Jae Ha. I love you.’
