‘The King 2Hearts’ Lee Seung Gi, Ha Ji Won and Cast Say Goodbye in Special Video
MBC has updated its The King 2Hearts homepage with a video shot from the final episode’s shoot.
On May 25, the official homepage for The King 2Hearts posted a video from the drama’s final filming and included videos of the actors expressing their closing thoughts.
Ha Ji Won honestly expressed in the video, “When I began the drama I felt very far from it but as we’re ending I’m very sad. Since we were able to shoot so joyfully with the cast and crew, I think that will remain in my memory the longest. Compared to other dramas [The King 2Hearts] was more intense with a different feeling but we thank our fans for loving us.”
Co-star Lee Seung Gi also expressed similar sentiments saying, “We filmed this drama with lots of laughter and I learned so much from our great staff, seniors and fellow actors. Though the Lee Jae Ha character isn’t a character easy to love, I think I was able to come this far thanks to the fans who found merit in the character. Thank you to our fans. Though The King 2Hearts has come to an end Lee Seung Gi will introduce himself to you all with more productions and great characters.”
Actor Kwon Hyun Sang who played fellow royal guard Yeom Dong Ha reflected on his bittersweet feelings on the drama ending saying, “My heart feels tight and it feels refreshing and sad at the same time. I met so many great people and I think at every beginning there is an end.”
Choi Kwon who portrayed the North Korean soldier and fellow WOC trainee Kwon Young Bae added, “The actors, director, staff all became like family in encouraging each other during the difficult shoot so my heart feels heavy and bittersweet.”
The same video clip also aired some look at the final scenes shooting with Lee Seung Gi.
