Lee Jang Woo to Transform Into Romantic Jobless Boy
Lee Jang Woo will be meeting his viewers as a jobless bum.
Lee Jang Woo will act as the jobless Park Tae Kang for MBC′s upcoming drama I Do, I Do, which will air its first episode on May 30. Tae Kang aims to become a professional shoe designer by selling fake designer shoes.
The actor mostly took up ′cold city man′ characters that were older than his real age in his previous dramas. This time, his new, more laid back role is expected to give him a complete makeover. He also showed a different side to himself before the drama through MBC′s We Got Married, as a mischievous, yet warm virtual husband.
Director Kang Dae Sun of I Do, I Do said, "Lee Jang Woo quickly understands his character and knows instinctively how he can become more engaged. It′s like he′s wearing clothes that fit him perfectly when he acts as Park Tae Kang."
Lee Jang Woo said, "I always acted as characters that were very different from how I really am, but besides his environment, Tae Kang is very similar to me. He′s my age, and he hates to be tied down, so whenever I see him, it′s like I′m seeing myself. I′m trying not to tense up and have fun so that I can get more into character."
I Do, I Do will be about the romance between the super alpha-girl Hwang Ji An (Kim Sun Ah) and the jobless Park Tae Kang. It will attempt to break through the traditional romances that say women in their 30s need to meet a knight in shining armor to escape their dreary lives.
