Bae Doo Na Reveals She Was Sadako Crawling Out of the TV Screen From ‘The Ring Virus′
Bae Doo Na has revealed her shocking past that surprised viewers.
On the May 10 episode of tvN’s Taxi, Bae Doo Na was the featured guest, as she was interviewed on her career, friendships and more.
During the interview, Bae Doo Na made a surprising revelation making it known that she played Sadako crawling out of the television screen in the infamous scene from the Korean version of the original Japanese horror movie, Ring.
While talking about her movie appearances Bae Doo Na shared, “In 1999, I appeared as Sadako the ghost in The Ring Virus. I had no lines and only crawled out of a TV. “
Regarding the infamous scene, Bae Doo Na said, “First I had to crawl out of a well. At the time of the shooting, it was the cold month of December. After crawling out, I had to walk on the frosted grass bare footed. Since it was cold, steam was being emitted from the water but I had to dunk my head in it all night.”
Because she suffered so much in her debut role, Bae Doo Na revealed her timid revenge on the movie as she shared, “I suffered so much, I made a timid revenge [on the movie]. I didn’t go to the theaters or watch the movie.”
