‘Equator Man’ Beats Out ‘King 2Hearts’ and ‘Rooftop Prince’, Becomes Most Watched Drama
The competition for the top viewership slot continues and The Equator Man, which began as the least-watched drama in its time slot, has skyrocketed to first place!
On April 19 the AGB Nielsen Media Research revealed the viewership ratings for the night of April 18. According to the results, The Equator Man recorded a 12 percent rating, rising 1.2 percent from last week’s April 12 10.8 percent rating, to become the night’s most watched drama for its time slot.
The Equator Man beat out second-place finisher, SBS′ Rooftop Prince, which recorded 11.4 percent for the night. The Park Yoo Chun-led drama slid 1.1 percent from its previous episode and was in first place in the previous week.
MBC′s The King 2Hearts continued its weekly decline and finished with a 10.8 percent rating, a 1.8 percent drop from the previous episode.
Equator Man’s Uhm Tae Woong continued to receive praise from viewers for his acting, and the beginning of the drama’s ‘revenge’ storyline is thought to have contributed to its ascent.
Viewers will have to wait to see if The Equator Man’s win on April 18 was a temporary one, or if this is the beginning of The Equator Man’s domination.
The next episode of all three dramas will air on April 19.
