′The Equator Man′ Records Highest Ratings Yet
KBS2’s The Equator Man recently recorded its highest viewership ratings.
According to the AGB Nielsen Media Research, the April 11 broadcast of The Equator Man recorded a 14.3 percent viewership ratings, a 4.1 percent increase from the 10.2 percent ratings of its previous broadcast. It appears the drama greatly benefited from the suspension of SBS’ Rooftop Prince and MBC’s The King 2Hearts due to the 19th general elections on April 11.
The competition between the three dramas is expected to be fierce this Thursday, as all three are enjoying double-digit ratings.
Ha Ji Won’s fantastic performance in The King 2Hearts and the romantic comedy in Rooftop Prince have managed to captured the attention of viewers, while the larger than life story in The Equator Man has gained the support of the older generation viewers.
The seventh episode of The Equator Man showed the start of Seon Woo (Uhm Tae Woong) and Ji Won’s (Lee Bo Young) relationship, while Uhm’s fantastic blind performance continued to receive praise from the audience and was the driving force behind the drama’s recent ratings uptick.
Meanwhile, SBS and MBC’s April 11 special broadcasts recorded a 9.8 percent and 5.1 percent viewership rating respectively.
