WIN Tracks to Be Released on Today (10/28)
After impressing the viewers with their self-written songs, Team A and Team B of YG Entertainment’s WIN: Who Is Next will release the four songs performed in the finale battle on October 28 as a digital single.
On October 25, WIN completed its run of 10 episodes with an emotional finale. Due to the desperate requests of fans, YG Entertainment announced through its official blog at midnight started its countdown for the song releases.
Team A’s Go Up, Team B’s Climax, and the two different version of the Teddy composed song, Just Another Boy will be included in the digital single.
After 10 weeks of fierce training and three battles, Team A won the new group title of WINNER with the song Go Up, which was written by Kang Seung Yoon, Lee Seung Hoon, Song Min Ho and co-composed by Kang Seung Yoon and Song Min Ho. The song is about the members’ determination to rise to the top and is a bright and hopeful song.
Although the members are young, Team B’s Climax, written by B.I., Bobby, Kim Jin Hwan, Song Yoon Hyung, Gu Joon Hee, Kim Dong Hyuk, and composed by B.I. and Bobby, was also praised by fans for its powerful rap and addictive melody.
During the live broadcast, Yang Hyun Suk praised Team A, saying, “Team A’s greatest weapon is the ability to write songs. If they all debut, I think all the members can produce their own songs.”
Epik High’s Tablo is stated that he wanted to download the song right away.
On Team B’s self-composed song battle, 2NE1’s CL said, “I was truly touched. I think the desperate feelings were delivered. It made me think a lot of my own trainee days, so I’m thankful.”
Yang Hyun Suk also didn’t spare any praises for Team B. “The lyrics makes your emotions rise up. It was a song that appropriate for the final stage with all of their sincerity inside of it. I was touched to the point of tears. I think I will continue listening to this song.”
For the Teddy track, Just Another Boy, Team A’s Nam Tae Hyun, Lee Seung Hoon, and Song Min Ho wrote the lyrics, while Kang Seung Yoon, Nam Tae Hyun, and Song Min Ho worked out rearranging the song. With a powerful rap and a sub-bass of a heavy atmosphere, the dance song provided an energetic song that took over the stage with its fun beat.
Team B’s Just Another Boy was rearranged by B.I and Bobby, and proved to be a completely different song compared to Team A’s. With the use of the side-chain technique, Just Another Boy had a dark atmosphere with an addictive melody. Also the powerful rap and performance stuck out as the Team B members said they wanted to make an exciting stage with the audience members.
With the surprise release of the final four songs, listeners will be able to feel all the passion and touching moments of the WIN members during the 10 weeks of learning and growing.
Meanwhile, Team A was named the final winner. It will begin preparing to make its official debut.
