Shinhwa’s Min Woo Eyes Girls’ Generation
But then again, who doesn’t want a piece of the girl group these days?
Shinhwa’s Lee Min Woo recently revealed that he wants Girls’ Generation to appear on the group’s upcoming JTBC show Shinhwa Broadcast.
A press presentation for the show was held at the Jamsil Student Gymnasium in Seoul on March 15, where the members were asked who they could like to have as guests on their show.
While member Shin Hye Sung mentioned he would like to invite the Shinhwa members’ parents and Kim Dong Wan said he would like to face off against female comedians in various competitions, Lee responded, “Girls’ Generation.”
Lee added, “I really want to meet the current female singers and girl groups. Girl groups are a source of great strength for boy bands. I think it’d be fun to impersonate the Girls’ Generation members as well.”
Coincidentally, Yun Hyun Jun, the producer of Shinhwa’s upcoming show, worked with the girls on JTBC’s Girls’ Generation and the Dangerous Boys, and was also present at the event.
He didn’t hold back his praise for the girl group, saying “Girls’ Generation is one of the best groups on entertainment programs.” Yun added, “[They] did great and I’m proud of them.”
With Yun’s Girls’ Generation connection, we hope Lee’s wish will be granted.
The first episode of Shinhwa Broadcast is set to air on March 17.
