Lee Seung Chul Leaves a Stern Remark on Revealing Outfits of Female Groups
The summer heat is settling in and the layers of clothes are coming off, but are girl groups taking off way too much?
Veteran singer Lee Seung Chul thinks so.
On June 24, Lee Seung Chul tweeted, “Naked legs, underwear teasers…optical illusion outfits?? TT TT. It′s not right to promote like this."
Lee Seung Chul’s remark seems to have come from the rising number of idol girl groups, who have been revealing much more than usual along with upgraded sexy concepts.
His comment seems to refer to Togeworl’s Kim Ye Rim′s teaser, where she came out wearing her underwear, as well as Dal Shabet and Girls’ Day, who have both been receiving much criticism for suggestive outfits.
As netizens watched a singer with 27 years of experience giving a word of advice to the groups of today, they commented, “Too much skin is what’s ruining the music industry these days,” “It’s really embarrassing to watch music programs with my family,” “It’s reality that concepts are more eye-catching than songs. Is that normal?” and “Why does he care? It’s the company’s marketing plan.”
