Kim Joon to Enlist in the Military
T-Max’s Kim Joon will enlist in the army as a conscripted policeman at the end of the month.
His agency, Planet 905 Entertainment said, “Recently, Kim Joon applied for the policeman draft and passed the written and oral tests.”
Kim will enter a boot camp in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province on September 29, and start his mandatory military duty after completing four months of basic military training.
“With his appearance in KBS’s Crime Squad and based off his friends’ recommendations, Kim Joon decided to enlist in as a conscripted policeman," said his agency. "As he wishes, he will enter the training camp without any farewell events, since [the army] is a compulsory duty that every Korean guy must fulfill."
“I am more excited than afraid, because I’ll have time to self-reflect in a new place,” said Kim Joon through his agency. “I will return as a mature person both physically and mentally.”
Though the rapper of T-Max, Kim gathered much of his popularity through his acting roles in KBS’sBoys over Flowers, the Korea and Japan collaboration, The Love of Pygmalion and KBS’s Crime Squad
