Newcomer actor Sung Joon has been catching viewers’ eyes with his overwhelmingly emotional acting in tvN’s Shut Up: Flower Boy Band.

In the drama, Sung Joon is playing the role of Kwon Ji Hyuk, who ends up leading the band, Easy on the Eyes, after Joo Byung Hee (Lee Min Ki)’s unexpected death.

During the third episode, set to air for February 6, Sung Joon will get the chance to show off his acting chops, as he′ll be wracked with guilt about best friend Byung Hee’s death.

In the last episode, Byung Hee, covered in blood, made a phone call to Sung Joon to ask for help after being attacked by the rival band Strawberry Fields, Sung Joon was spending time with Soo Ah (Jo Bo Ah).

Sung Joon is expected to catch viewers’ eyes when he expresses his rage, through three startling scenes: when he storms out of Byung Hee′s mortuary, when he vents his anger at Seung Hoon (Jung Ui Chul) and when he attempts to muffle his sobs to conceal his mourning.

Flower Boy Band is a 16-episode long teen romance, which covers the story of teenagers’ friendship, love, and passion for music, centered on rock band Easy on the Eyes. The third episode, which is set for February 6, will focus mainly on the band members who fall into despair and sadness upon the death of their leader but manage to overcome their wounds while preparing to participate in a rock festival.
