Eyagi Entertainment stated through a press release on February 13 that it wants to "emphasize that the reports stating [Park Si Yeon] used propofol habitually are far from the truth."

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors′ Office finished questioning actresses Lee Seung Yeon, Jang Mi In Ae, Hyun Young and Park Si Yeon for the illegal use of propofol early February.

Prosecution commented that it plans to "indict them after wrapping up corroborative investigations."

It has turned out that Lee Seung Yeon, Hyun Young and Park Si Yeon did receive injections of propofol at hospitals, but they have emphsized that they did not abuse the drug purposefully. They have asserted that the propofol was used to aid their skin care procedures.

Park Si Yeon′s agency further said through the press release, "[Park Si Yeon] injured her back after acting in extensive action scenes for Marine Boy and Dachimawa Lee in 2008. She has been promoting on painkillers despite the doctors′ suggestions that she receive surgery for her back pains."

It added, "But the pain continued, and so she decided to leave her variety show Family Outing in 2009. She received surgery quietly, without notifying the press, so that her image as an actress wouldn′t come to harm."

"Park Si Yeon and her agency cannot hide their regret at the sudden news, and we wish to emphasize that the reports stating [Park Si Yeon] used propofol habitually are far from the truth," it then said.

It finished, "We hope you will refrain from making unbased assumptions and broad interpretations of facts that haven′t been confirmed. We′ll make sure to return with a new round of good promotions."
