4minute′s Nam Ji Hyun and ZE:A′s Park Hyung Sik spoke up on the rumors that continued to fly even after the conclusion of tvN′s The Romantic and Idol.

Following their match as a final couple on the show, the two have been surrounded by rumors that they had actually started dating. They appeared to get along well with each other on the show, lending strength to the rumors.

The couple, however, has denied they are in any such relationship.

Park Hyung Sik was the one who first spoke on the matter.

In an interview with tvN′s enews, which aired on January 16, Park Hyung Sik had said, "I really felt attached to [Nam Ji Hyun] during the shoots, but we′re not dating."

"I became interested in getting to know her through the program," he said. "She′s the best. She′s also really nice. We show support for each other and give advice. I′m not only close with Nam Ji Hyun, but all the idol group members who appeared on the show at the time. We even made a small group."

Nam Ji Hyun also followed up the interview with her own stance.

She tweeted on January 24, "Like [Park] Hyung Sik said in his interview, we are not in a deep relationship. I want to thank the fans who like us, but I wanted to make this clear because I keep receiving mentions (replies) on the issue. The Romantic and Idol didn′t have a script, though. We′ve just decided to be good friends. I hope you continue to show us your support."
