[12 Days of 2012] Top 5 Chatterboxes
Although we’re looking forward to what 2013 has in store, we can’t close out 2012 without looking back on the stars, dramas, movies and more that shined this year, so we’re launching a new series here at enewsWorld, called 12 Days of 2012, to round up and reflect on one exciting year in Korean entertainment.
The social networking sphere has made it easier for us to stalk, er, follow our favorite celebrities, and today, we’re spotlighting the stars that welcomed us into their private lives this year, one tweet or photo at a time.
Korea’s favorite ‘socialtainer’ Lee Hyori was an open book this year, not only using Twitter to give fans a glimpse into her private life but to raise awareness for issues close to her heart as well.
From entertaining exchanges with her boyfriend and celebrity friend Se7en, Lee Hyori was quite the chatterbox on the social networking website, and her enthusiastic activity even landed her an appearance on Mnet’s Show Me the Money.
And you know you’re influential when you can get people to care about your homemade pizza.
Jang Keun Suk
Keeping up with Jang Keun Suk isn’t an easy task, but we lucked out this year as the busy hallyu star kept us in the know about his every move through Twitter and his YouTube channel.
Although his love-hate relationship with sasaeng fans caused him to leave Twitter last year, Jang Keun Suk couldn’t stay away from his fans for too long as he made a swift return a few months later.
Jang Keun Suk has been going strong ever since, posting photos from the set to his travels around the world.
For those wondering, ‘Where in the world is Jang Keun Suk?’ head on over to his Twitter to find out.
The girls of 2NE1 were also busy taking on the world this year, but member Sandara Park wasn’t too busy to keep fans posted on their whereabouts through her me2day.
So, when the loyal me2day user attempted to quietly join Twitter this year, it, of course, didn’t remain a secret for long.
The queen of emoticons and photo decals, Sandara Park’s SNS updates not only brightened up cyberspace, they made for an extra sweet 2012.
Big Bang’s G-Dragon was not only the king of the music charts this year, he ruled over Instagram, offering fans a filtered look into his already colorful life via the photo sharing website.
If G-Dragon’s private life had been a mystery to us before, the idol star opened up to us this year via Twitter, even teasing fans with sneak peeks into his upcoming projects.
G-Dragon may have only been in the Twitter game for a few months now, but he has already amassed over a million followers, proving that wherever he goes, people follow.
Kim Jae Joong
With a drama and movie release keeping JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong busy this year, the star had a lot to talk about in 2012, and you can bet a lot of people were listening.
When Kim Jae Joong wasn’t posting photos from the set of his drama Time Slip Dr. Jin or filming his new movie The Jackal is Coming, he was musing about ramen and love, of course, among many other things.
Life in the Twitterverse, however, isn’t always smooth sailing, and like many celebrities Kim Jae Joong took a sudden break from it in November, saddening many fans, but he was all for new beginnings, when he returned earlier this month.
