SM Entertainment Promotes EXO on Christmas Streets
The best thing about debuting through a huge agency is that you get a lot of exposure even before your official debut. SM Entertainment proved that being part of big agencies does pay off, going full out for its promotion for its upcoming two-part group EXO, which will be debuting simultaneously in Korea and China as two separate teams EXO-K and EXO-M, with its ‘EXO truck’.
The EXO truck toured the main spots of Seoul, including Gangnam, Myeongdong, Sinchon and Hongdae, from December 23-25, showcasing the group to people out to enjoy Christmas.
The EXO truck continued to play the group’s first teaser video, which was released on December 23, repeatedly, grabbing the eyes and ears of those walking the streets.
SM will release its next teaser video on December 27 through its official Youtube channel, Facebook page and Naver, and also through China’s Weibo, Sina, Sohu and Yoku, to shake Asia up with anticipation for its new group.
As SM has previously debuted successful groups, from TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation and SHInee to f(x), it will be interesting to see where the new group, with its new marketing strategies, will be headed in 2012.
