′A Werewolf Boy′ Passes 5 Million Mark and Gets the Cast Celebrating
A Werewolf Boy managed to bring 5 million to its screens in 19 days.
According to the Korean Film Council′s Compiled Ticket Computer Network, A Werewolf Boy drew 334,443 moviegoers on November 18, recording a total audience of 5,093,692 people. It topped the box office for the day and also managed to pass the 5 million mark in its 19th day since its premiere on October 31.
Despite the fact that November is considered to be part of slow season for theaters, A Werewolf Boy managed to stay strong with its cast, beautiful videos and warm story.
Although such giant contenders as The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 premiered in A Werewolf Boy′s third week, A Werewolf Boy managed to beat out its competitors and stay on top of the weekend box office for three weeks in a row.
To celebrate, Yoo Yeon Seok tweeted a photo showing him with Song Joong Ki and Park Bo Young that day, making fives and zeroes with their hands. "We′re so happy we took a photo for 5 million!!! Here it is", the tweet read.
A Werewolf Boy is now third in line behind The Thieves and Masquerade for Korean films of 2012.
