Sunny’s Shim Eun Kyung To Cameo on ‘SNLK’

Shim Eun Kyeong, who starred in the box office hit Sunny will be making a cameo appearance on the first episode of tvN’s Saturday Night Live Korea(SNLK), which is set to air live on December 3, 11pm. Shim will be appearing in sketches along with Kim Ju Hyuk, who has been chosen as the first host of the show.

A representative of the show’s production crew said, “Shim Eun Kyeong who showed her talented acting in the movie, Sunny will be revealing a different side with a comical performance. Her short but impressive comical performance is sure to bring out a lot of laughs. As she captivated the audience with her unique and impressive portrayal of characters in various pieces, we’re looking forward to seeing how she surprises viewers this time.”

Shim Eun Kyeong′s cameo appearance took place with her connection to filmmaker Jang Jin, who is in charge of directing and scriptwriting for SNLK. Shim, who is currently studying at Professional Children’s School in New York, has worked with him in various pieces, including Romantic Heaven. When Jang visited New York, Shim made a promise to appear on SNLK. As Shim returned to Korea on her vacation, she kept her promise.

SNLK is the Korean version of America’s famed comedy variety show, Saturday Night Live, which has been enjoying a great deal of popularity for 37 years since it first aired in 1975 on NBC. The show has solidified its status as the top comedy show with various segments.. It also has showcased top stars such as Madonna, Matt Damon, Lady Gaga, and George Clooney.

SNLK will be helmed by Jang Jin who is returning to the small screen after an 18-year long absence. Sixteen cast members including actors and comedians will perform with a guest host. It is set to air every Saturday at 11pm on TV
