After being lauded for his roles in front of the cameras, actor Ha Jung Woo is looking to establish himself as a director behind the cameras.

Ha Jung Woo’s agency, Fantagio, revealed on October 25, the actor/artist would direct the upcoming movie, Man and Typhoon (tentative title) based on the script he wrote himself.

The storyline revolves around a hallyu star who board a plane headed to Korea from Tokyo when the plane hits a major typhoon and falls into danger of crashing. The comic story will tell all that happens between the passengers and flight crew.

For Ha Jung Woo, who has established himself as one of Korea’s top actors with a long list of critically acclaimed and well received films, the directorial feature will mark one of the actor’s biggest dreams come true.

The actor shared through his agency, “I’ve always had the desire to study about movies more. This time I want to approach the movie not as an actor but as a director. It’s fun planning, producing and going through all the ideas and details with the actors and staff.”
