Psy to Give Free Concert at Seoul Plaza on October 4
Although Psy didn′t get his no. 1 win on the Billboard chart, he certainly came close at no. 2, practically breathing down Maroon 5′s neck.
His free concert will thus take place regardless of whether he made it to the top of Billboard at Seoul Plaza on October 4, 10 p.m. (KST).
He will be keeping the promise he made at the press conference on September 25, in which he said, "I′ll hold a free concert without my shirt on in a place where the most people will gather if I make it to the no. 1 spot on Billboard."
Psy, known for his eye popping performances, is expected to drop yet another legendary performance at the October 4 free concert. He didn′t make it to no. 1, but he will still be giving his all as a remaining contender for the spot.
His audience is also looking forward to hearing what the witty singer has to say. Since he returned from America on September 25, he′s met with his Korean fans through a full-fledged concert on October 2 and a variety of college festivals. He plowed on to keep his promises even as his health failed him at one point, when he had to get an IV, and again he is expected to reach hearts with his witty yet touching statements.
Some netizens have been discussing the cons of Psy′s being in Korea when he should be in America focusing on promoting his single, but Psy shook it all off and said, "The reason I′m here with you in this important moment is because I′ve been loved so much while I was promoting in America."
He′s nailed many short yet witty quotes, and this also helped him let himself be known in the country as the singer Psy from Korea rather than merely as the man of the horse-ride dance.
At the MTV Awards he said in Korean, "I always wanted to speak Korean on a stage like this. Isn’t it awesome?" and shouted at the Rockefeller Plaza in New York, "Mansae (hooray), Korea!" What more will he have to say at the Seoul Plaza on October 4?
