Big Bang Daesung Found Not Guilty for Car Accident Victim′s Death
Big Bang’s Daesung (22) was found not guilty by prosecutors for the death of a car accident victim.
On August 29, an official from the Supreme Prosecutors Office stated in a phone interview with eNews that "Mr. Kang Dae Sung went through deliberations for being involved in a car accident death, and was found not guilty on August 26."
The official continued, "That Mr. Kang Dae Sung did not keep a safe distance from the car in front of him and that he did not keep his eyes on the road is true, but a casual relationship between these mistakes and the death of the victim could not be found. Based on the legal maxim ′in dubio pro reo (if in doubt, rulings must be in favor of the accused),′ we found him not guilty."
The official added, "We came to this conclusion on the 26. For the results to reach the persons involved, it takes about 2-3 days."
An official from YG Entertainment, stated that they "did not receive any direct correspondence related to the issue," and that they "first learned of the verdict through this prosecution′s statement."
Daesung was involved in a car accident on May 31, 1:30AM, when he hit a fallen motorcycle driver Mr. Hyun (30) and a taxi owned by Mr. Kim (44) while driving his own car near Seoul′s Yanghwa Bridge. The motorcycle driver who lay on the road after Daesung′s collision was confirmed to be dead.

Kim Bo Mi, who played the cute Miss Korea aspirant, Bok Hee, from the box office hit, Sunny, revealed her special attachment to the film, calling it the starting point in her acting career.
Kim recently sat with enews and shared her feelings on the film and talked about her acting career. She said that she was able to learn how to act thanks to Sunny.
As the movie was a summer hit, drawing more than seven million moviegoers, all the cast members, many who were previously unknown, were brought into the spotlight.
Kim said, “Even though I appeared in Painter of the Wind and Death Bell 2, it’d not be an exaggeration to say Sunny was the starting point in my acting career.”
She continued, “Actually, I didn’t have any idea of how to create a character through acting before, but I’ve learned a lot while working in the movie.”
“Sunny is the movie to teach me how to act and grasp a character. Even when I was shooting Painter of the Wind, I became timid whenever I stood in front of cameras. But I was able to get over the problems thanks to Sunny,” she added.
Through the movie, she succeeded in killing two birds with one stone, earning commercial success and a solid acting career.
On her role in SBS’ My Daughter Kkonnim, Kim said, “In the drama, My Daughter Kkonnim, in which I’m currently appearing, I hope to show my diverse charms through my character even though it is not the leading role.”
She continued, “I’ll show off my passion for acting, which I’ve realized through the character Bok Hee, in various works down the road.”
As her wish for New Year, she picked ‘prolificacy.’
“I hope I can appear in two TV dramas and two films. To be sure, things might not go just as you wish, but people have freedom to dream. I’ll meet the audience in many works as a character actor.”
Currently, Kim is appearing on SBS’ My Daughter Kkonnim as Joo Hong Dan, the best friend of Kknonim (Jin Se Yeon).
