‘Reply 1997’ Stays On Top for Six Weeks In a Row
TvN’s drama Reply 1997 continued its syndrome with its high viewership ratings.
According to TNmS Research, the August 27 broadcast of Reply 1997 recorded an average of 3.46 percent in viewership ratings, peaking at 4.43 percent. These numbers set the drama at the top of its time slot among cable channel programs, and makes it the content with the highest ratings on Tuesday nights for six weeks in a row.
Reply 1997 was the most-viewed in its time slot among women from their teens to their 40s and men in their teens, 20s and 40s, proving that the drama has been gathering interest from a wide range of age groups. Among women in their 20s and 30s, the ratings even peaked as high as 5.9 percent.
In the episodes for the day, Yoon Jae (Seo In Guk) and Tae Woong (Song Jong Ho) presented rings to Si Won (Jung Eun Ji) at the same time, completing a perfect love triangle. Tae Woong was aiming to build a deeper relationship with Si Won, while Yoon Jae was shown as a man suffering from the sadness of his unreturned love.
The love story between Hak Chan (Eun Ji Won), who had to leave for Hawaii, and Yoo Jung (Shin So Yul), the recovery of Si Won’s parents from their sorrow of having to send their daughter to Seoul for college and Bang Sung Jae’s (Lee Si Eon) presence made the episode even more interesting along the sidelines.
