DSP Media has stepped forward to issue an apology for the controversy surrounding the ’handicap parking’ incident.

As the issue began gaining traction and even becoming one of the most read stories on Korean portal sites, DSP Media issued an apology on August 28 saying, “We confirmed with the managers as soon as we were made aware of the controversy surrounding the parking of Kara’s vans in the handicap parking spots. We would like to humbly apologize to those who were discomforted by this situation and to all those who love Kara. We will be conscious in making thorough efforts to prevent such an issue from happening again.”

Originally, it was reported that the two vans Kara and its staff were traveling in on August 25, had unlawfully taken up two handicap parking spots in a busy rest stop near Chuncheongnam-do’s Gongju while the Kara members had proceeded to nonchalantly go about their business and even purchasing snacks.

DSP Media added, “Even if we try and explain ourselves it’s very clear it was the fault of the staff. However, we would like to add that the Kara members had just woken up and had no idea of the spot they had parked in.”
