Kim Jang Hoon poured 1.5 billion won into producing a new music video starring Paris Hilton.

A rep from Kim Jang Hoon’s agency said on August 22, “Paris Hilton has been confirmed to star in the music video for Kim Jang Hoon’s upcoming ballad single, which will be released on September 4 with his 10th studio album. Production costs amount up to 1.5 billion won, including marketing fees.”

The rep said to critics saying they were overdoing it, “The agency is a bit worried, but Kim Jang Hoon has put his musical career on the line for his 10th album, recording more than 100 songs since a year ago.”

Kim Jang Hoon himself also said in a recent meeting with enews, “Like my collaboration with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, I shouldn’t hold back on investments for my music and performances. I need to survive longer as a singer so that I can survive longer as a guardian of Dokdo.”

Filming for the music video will take place from August 23-25, in outdoor locations and blue screen sets near L.A. and Malibu beaches.

All filming will be done in 3D, and the music video will thus be released in both 2D and 3D versions. The most skilled staff in Hollywood will join the team to perfect the 3D shoots, special effects and final polishing.

A rep from Kim Jang Hoon’s agency in America, Zion Live, said, “We held our final meeting with Hollywood’s best 3D staff, and we’ll announce what has been confirmed on the day shooting starts, August 23. We believe this will be the best piece in Korean music video history with the best staff out there. Local officials have gotten to know Kim Jang Hoon after his explosive L.A. concert and his many awards, and they’ve been a big help by showing their willingness to participate.”

Kim Jang Hoon left for L.A. through Incheon International Airport on August 22. He will move to New York on August 26 after filming wraps to tour venues and meet with local staff and unions for his New York concert to be held in November.

On October 2, Kim Jang Hoon will appear alongside Super Junior and EXO-K as a representative of Korea at the special broadcast celebrating 20 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and China. The event is hosted by Shanghai Media Group, and will air on national TV.
