Kim Hyun Joong Performs Explosive Finale at Fireworks Festival in Japan
As if the weather isn′t hot enough, hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong turned up the heat even more with an explosive performance.
On August 10, Kim Hyun Joong was invited as a special guest for the East Japan Earthquake Charity Concert at the 2012 Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival in Tokyo, Japan, where he had the honor of closing the concert.
The Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival is held every year and attracts approximately 150,000 to 200,000 people as one of Japan’s representative festivals where its attendees can enjoy fireworks and live performances.
For the concert that was created to console the victims of the east Japanese earthquakes, Kim Hyun Joong was invited as the highlight to the charity concert, where he was able to prove his popularity in Japan when he was given the longest performance time.
As one of Japan’s representative festivals, among the tens of thousands of attendees who came were fans from Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other countries, who flew into Japan to see Kim Hyun Joong.
On this day at the Tokyo Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium at 7 p.m., Kim Hyun Joong performed his popular single Let’s Party, followed by Heat and Breakdown.
He performed a total of seven songs despite the heat and showcased powerful performances with perfect live singing, earning a wildly positive response from the audience.
After the performance, Kim Hyun Joong thanked his fans for enjoying the stage which was then followed by 10,000 fireworks, glittering the night sky, making it a night to remember.
Kim Hyun Joong has been seeing great results after officially releasing his album in Japan earlier in 2012.
His second Japanese single, Heat, sold 196,850 copies and managed to place number one on Oricon’s daily and weekend charts. Kim Hyun Joong was also able to pass Yamapi and TVXQ to take over the third place spot on the Oricon Singles Monthly charts.
He has also been gaining a lot of popularity with his exclusive concerts and commercial filming.
Meanwhile, Kim Hyun Joong is currently filming for the upcoming drama City Conquest, where he will be showcasing an acting transformation.
The drama will air sometime in September.
