Lee Seung Gi to Return as Singer and Student for Rest of 2012
Lee Seung Gi plans to take up his studies again and return to his career as a singer for the latter half of the year.
After MBC’s The King 2Hearts aired its last episode in May, Lee Seung Gi has since been taking a break in his time off. He plans to return to his studies in September, but he’s also thinking of holding a concert sometime near the end of the year.
A rep from Lee Seung Gi’s agency said, “He plans to wrap up the year with his fans in a concert near the end of the year. He’s also thinking of releasing a new album before that, but he hasn’t decided on when he’ll release it. Officials are still sending in offers for dramas. It’ll be hard to take one up this year, but I believe he’ll aim to join a drama that will air early next year. He’s seriously considering one or two synopses out of the many he’s received.”
Lee Seung Gi is also 26 and hasn’t served his military duties yet, which means he’ll have to get that out of the way soon.
One media outlet reported on August 10 that Lee Seung Gi would be joining the army on active duty late next year, but sources close to Lee Seung Gi said, “He’s received questions on his military duties since last year. He’ll go when the time comes.”
Lee Seung Gi is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Culture Contents at his alma mater, Dongguk University.
