Yeh Ji Won Eats Like A Beast
If you thought all actresses are subject to strict diets to keep up their perfect bodies, Jo Jae Hyun’s comments on Yeh Ji Won will probably make you think again.
Jo Jae Hyun described Yeh Ji Won’s surprising ability to hold her food in at the press preview and conference for the film The Kick. The events were held on October 24 in Seoul with director Prachya Pinkaew and lead actors Yeh Ji Won, Na Tae Ju and Lee Gwan Hun.
When asked to share some anecdotes in Thailand, where the shoot for the film took place, he answered, “Maybe it was because it was so hot in Thailand, but Yeh Ji Won ate a lot. She ate four helpings for her breakfast alone. I’ve never seen an actress eat so much.”
He added, “Thanks to Yeh Ji Won, I ate a lot [of filling meals, too]. I almost look like the common next door neighbor now."
“I believe Thai people love Korea a lot. I think it was because I’m a Korean actress, but all of the staff members were very considerate toward me,” said Yeh Ji Won as justification. “I ate so much because they made me feel so comfortable with everything, including eating.”
Jo Jae Hyun also voiced his expectations for the film, saying, “A lot of people sweated in Thailand for this film. I hope our audience is left with the impression that it is a good film.”
Jo Jae Hyun took on the role of Master Moon, a stubborn Taekwondo master. Even though it was the first time he was acting for director Pinkaew of Ong Bak, he managed to show off his tough acting to much praise. Director Pinkaew even complimented him at the conference, saying that he “could cooperate with Jo Jae Hyun well” even though they spoke different languages.
The Kick is an action film about how Master Moon, who owns a Taekwondo studio in Thailand, starts off on an adventure with his family to find the ‘Legendary Sword’ of the Monarchy of Thailand. The film will premiere on November 3.
