T-ara’s Ham Eun Jung Replaced With f(x)’s Krystal as Korea’s Police Agency’s Promotion Model
T-ara is dealing with another blow.
Since the T-ara controversy began, Korea’s National Police Agency’s homepage experienced a flood of messages on its message board calling for the image of Ham Eun Jung, who was the group’s promotional model, to be taken down.
On August 1, the agency’s homepage administrator shared, “T-ara’s Eun Jung served as the National Police Agency’s promotional model last year and already [this year] f(x)’s Krystal has been serving as the agency’s promotion model. Following last year’s reorganization of the Agency’s homepage we were supposed to replace the image with Krystal following her appointment on April 18, 2012 but while reorganizing our homepage, including its functions, an issue in our contract with our homepage managing company arose leading to the image not being changed.”
The administrator added, “The reorganization of the homepage should have happened simultaneously but to prevent other unnecessary misunderstandings and controversies from arising we have decided to begin [the homepage reorganization] by making the picture our current spokes model, Krystal.”
Sure enough, within a few hours an image of Krystal was seen gracing the homepage in the place of Ham Eun Jung.
Since the T-ara controversy began, T-ara has already taken a hit with other businesses the group models for with makeup brand Tony Moly deciding not to extend its contract with T-ara and Daewoo Securities dropping Ham Eun Jung’s image from its promotions while outdoors wear brand Wild Rose dropped T-ara’s promotional images and videos from its homepage.
