The cast of The Thieves popped up in Busan’s Haeundae on July 22 to meet with fans.

The charged preview took place three days before the official premiere of The Thieves. The preview was sold out, and took place with explosive interest.

The outdoor stage event held this day in Busan, where most of the filmings took place, happened amid cheers from Busan locals and vacationers in the area.

The event was hosted by reporter Kim Saeng Min.

Kim Hye Soo said at the event, “It feels familiar because we shot most of The Thieves in Busan. Busan is a very romantic and hot city.”

Lee Jung Jae said, “I envy those of you vacationing here in Haeundae. I want to thank the locals for being here this hot summer day.”

When the host asked Jun Ji Hyun which was more difficult, wire action or cursing, she answered, “Both weren’t that hard. It was a fun experience I would only be able to feel at a shoot for The Thieves.”

Kim Hae Sook said, “Kim Yun Suk, Kim Hye Soo and my hometown is Busan. It feels great to be in my hometown for a stage event. I hope you enjoy your time at Haeundae and also The Thieves in theaters.”

Kim Soo Hyun said, “The producers and actors were all passionate about shooting the film. I hope you enjoy the film when it premieres,” in a cute Gyeongsang dialect.

Lastly, director Choi Dong Hoon said, “I think I’m gaining more energy thanks to the passion of Busan. As much as I loved the actors while filming, I hope the audience also loves The Thieves.”

The Thieves will be about a professional 10-member thief team that gets together to steal a diamond hidden in Macau’s casinos. It will premiere on July 25.
