Kara Members Dispel Rumors on ‘Radio Star’
The members of Kara recently appeared on MBC’s Radio Star and addressed a number of rumors that have been circulating about the girls.
On the October 19 broadcast of the show, member Goo Hara spoke about her boyfriend, Yong Jun Hyung of popular idol group B2ST, for the first time.
She shot down rumors that the two had broken up saying, “We aren’t able to talk often, but we haven’t broken up.”
Their relationship became public when paparazzi photos of the couple on a date surfaced via an online newspaper.
“It came out when we weren’t officially dating but just beginning to get to know each other,” explained the singer. “First, I felt sorry towards the other members.”
When asked how the two were doing, Goo responded, “We don’t really see each other. When we’re abroad, I can’t see him at all, and it’s even difficult to text him because of the time difference.”
“I think the reports that we broke up were published because of that,” added Goo, before reassuring viewers saying, “We’re still seeing each other.”
However, Goo shied away from the question regarding her boyfriend’s income.
MC Kim Gura said, “Yong Jun Hyung came on the show and talked about his copyright income. He said it’s to the point that it’s too much for him to handle, so does he buy you a lot of nice things?”
“I don’t really know much about that,” said the singer with a shy laugh.
Meanwhile, the MCs asked youngest member Kang Ji Young to address an interesting rumor about her past.
When the MCs said, “There’s a rumor going around that Kang Ji Young was a bully in Paju. There’s even a joke that Chae Rina shakes in front of Kang Ji Young” and asked, “What is this about?” Kang dispelled the rumor with a laugh saying, “It’s not true.”
She continued, “I don’t know where the rumor came from because there isn’t a single photo or piece of evidence to prove it. But it is true that I had hotshot friends.”
“But I never hit my friends or took money from them,” added Kang, expressing her dejection with regards to the groundless rumor.
