VerbalJint, the rapper who was said to be the biggest contender to win the trophy on Mnet′s Show Me the Money, didn′t make it through to the second round.

The July 20 broadcast of Show Me the Money aired the surprising twist in the second round competition.

Double K, MC Sniper, Joosuc, Garion and Miryo performed for the ′Love′ theme in the last episode, and the most recent episode featured 45RPM and VerbalJint′s performance for the same theme.

VerbalJint chose to perform a hip hop version of miss A′s Breathe, saying, "It′s a song I′ve always liked, and I wanted to show that I could reinterpret songs as a producer."

He also said about his teammate, rookie rapper Go Young Bin, "It feels like I′ve put the right clothes on him."

Miss A′s Min also made a surprise appearance to lend a helping hand.

The results, however, were dismal. He was eliminated after receiving 650,000 won in payment from the audience, much less than the one million the others had received.

VerbalJint said, "I think [the audience] had already used a lot of money. It may sound like an excuse, but I believe I could′ve done better if the order was different." Go Young Bin was shown regretting the mistake he had made with the lyrics.

VerbalJint said just before leaving the show, "Appearing once in a competition program is more than enough. I′ll watch on to see where Show Me the Money goes next. I think I′ll be able to learn a lot, too."

Show Me the Money gathered attention for being the hip-hop version of MBC′s I Am a Singer. It is also the first hip-hop program by Mnet in 10 years.
