Kim Jong Kook Thanks ′Running Man′ at ′Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards′
Kim Jong Kook thanked Running Man upon receiving the Prime Minister′s commendation at the Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards.
The 2015 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards was held at the National Theater of Korea in Seoul on October 29, where Kim Jong Kook, who was awarded the Prime Minister′s commendation, said, "I think I′m able to receive this award thanks to the program Running Man."
He continued, "It was an opportunity that got my name out to a lot of fans abroad. I′m thankful to the members. I also want to thank the producers and fans. I will work hard."
Park Shin Hye, Oh Dal Soo, Lee Jong Suk, IU, JYJ and comedian Kim Hak Rae were among the other stars who received the Prime Minister′s commendation.
The Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards, which is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and conducted by KOCCA, honors those who have contributed to popular culture and the arts on a national level at home and abroad. It is in its sixth year with awards in four categories, which include the Order of Cultural Merit, President′s commendation, Prime Minister′s commendation and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism commendation.
