Idol groups get most of the spotlight in the world of K-Pop, but there are a few bands that have managed to steal our attention over the years.

This week, we′re featuring a few fan favorites and a few newcomers, so read on and don′t forget to vote!

[Poll] Which Idol Band Makes You Want to Rock Out?

FT Island

FT Island was one of the first idol bands of this generation to make a splash, and they′re still going strong not only in Korea, but Asia at large.

Fronted by the eccentric lead vocalist Lee Hong Gi, the band is always pushing the envelope when it comes to their sound, having covered everything from pop-rock to rock ballads and hard rock.

CNBLUE

Housed under the same agency as FT Island, CNBLUE shot to fame as the pretty boy band.

The boys aren′t just a bunch of pretty faces, however, having proved their talents as singer-songwriters since day one, with leader Jung Yong Hwa, in particular, writing and composing a majority of CNBLUE′s countless hits.

N.Flying

N.Flying is FNC′s latest secret weapon, and after making its debut in Korea earlier this year, the boys are back with a new track.

Lonely was released this month, and although their seniors are hard acts to follow, we suspect the band will find its place in no time.

DAY6

Idol machine JYP surprised us all when the agency debuted its first male band DAY6 in September.

DAY6 doesn′t fall behind the other bands out there in that the members write and compose their own songs.

JYP has also been strategic about limiting their public appearances to live, intimate shows in indie-band havens like Hongdae and festivals to showcase their live performance skills.

Wonder Girls

The Wonder Girls reinvented itself as a band this year, and despite what skeptics have said about their merits as a band, there′s no denying the girls know how to jam out.

Despite having picked up instruments pretty late in the game (with the exception of Ye Eun), the members proved they can hold their own against other bands behind their keyboard, drums, bass and electric guitar. Wonder Girls proved you can teach an old dog (relatively speaking, of course) new tricks.

Now it’s time to vote!
