Hwanhee Holds Fan Meeting Prior to His Enlistment
Seems like everyone is heading to the army!
While Hwanhee of Fly to the Sky won′t be holding a major, street-stopping concert, before enlisting, he is planning on holding a fan meeting in Seoul, four days before he heads off into the military abyss for two years.
On October 23, the ballad singer will officially bid farewell to his fans and share his feelings on his enlistment.
A representative of his agency said, “He values his fans and informed them of his enlistment by posting up a hand-written letter on his online fan café. He said he wanted to meet fans to say goodbye in person.”
After receiving a four-week basic training at a boot camp in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province, Hwanhee will begin to work as a public service worker. In his letter, he said, “I will come back as a better and more mature man. Please wait just a little bit. My fan family is always in my heart, and I strongly believe I am in your hearts as well.”
Hwanhee was labeled as level four after his physical examination due to his habitual shoulder dislocation. Soldiers who are labeled as level four work as public service workers, not as active-duty soldiers.
Hwanhee debuted in 1999 with the male duo Fly to the Sky and garnered a lot of popularity with hit songs Missing You , Even If My Heart Hurts . He wrapped up his group activities after its 9th album in 2009, and has been pursuing a solo career, releasing his first solo album HWANHEE in July. Recently he finished filming the movie Star , in which he played the role of a genius musician who garners much popularity.
