SNSD Taeyeon′s Sold Out Solo Concert Kicks Off with a Bang
Girls′ Generation (SNSD) Taeyeon′s first solo concert has taken off with a bang.
Taeyeon sold out all seven shows to her first solo concert, Taeyeon′s Very Special Day, which is being held at the SMTOWN Coex Artium SMTOWN Theatre in Seoul from from October 23-25 and October 29 to November 1, as the second artist in SM′s concert series brand The Agit.
At the concert, Taeyeon not only performed tracks from her first solo album I with a live band, she performed a medley of SNSD and Taetiseo′s songs as well as her solo OSTs and songs she wanted to share with her fans, captivating the audience with her superb vocals and rich emotions.
Taeyeon also read messages fans left in the guest book before the concert and sang songs, drawing closer to the fans and displaying a new side to herself that can only be captured in an intimate concert venue.
Ahead of the concert, Taeyeon swept music, album and music video charts in Korean and Asia at large with her lead single I, which was released with her mini album on October 7, as well as picked up seven number one trophies on cable and major broadcast network music programs. The explosive response carried over to her concert, proving Taeyeon′s power as a solo artist.
Taeyeon, who is successfully carrying the baton after SHINee′s Jonghyun as the second artist in SM′s concert series, The Agit, will hand the mic over to Super Junior′s Kyuhyun, who is set to hold his first solo concert next, as interest in the concert series continues to grow.
Meanwhile, Taeyeon′s first solo concert Very Special Day will continue from October 29 to November 1 for four more concerts.
