SM Confirms SNSD′s Yuri and Oh Seung Hwan Have Broken Up
Girls′ Generation (SNSD)′s Yuri and baseball player Oh Seung Hwan have called it quits after six months of going public with their relationship.
A rep from Yuri′s agency, SM Entertainment, stated, "It′s true that Yuri and Oh Seung Hwan have broken up."
SM released an official statement confirming that the couple broke up after breakup rumors began spreading this morning.
Yuri and Oh Seung Hwan confirmed they were dating in April. SM Entertainment stated at the time, "Yuri and Oh Seung Hwan met at at a gathering with acquaintances at the end of last year. They′re getting to know each other with good feelings."
However, the distance between Korea and Japan proved to be too much. Oh Seung Hwan, who is currently active as a professional baseball player in Japan, was unable to make time, while Yuri began promotions for SNSD′s fifth album Lion Heart in August. Sources close to the two individuals stated that Yuri and Oh Seung Hwan naturally grew distant due to their busy schedules.
