Hwang Jung Eum said, "The title just hit me. A pig has a lot of good meanings too. The title is important in that I ate a lot while filming in the countryside and gained weight. Yeo Jin unnie and Jong Hyuk oppa said ′Do you gain weight in your neck too?′" drawing laughter.

On filming with pigs, Hwang Jung Eum said, "I love animals. Pigs are cute because they′re chubby. I want to raise one."

My Sister, the Pig Lady is about three women, Jae Hwa, Yu Ja and Mi Ja, from a fishing village, who vie for the heart of the only bachelor in town, Jun Seob, played by Lee Jong Hyuk. The film was directed by Jang Moon Il, who directed A Good Day to Have an Affair, and hits theaters on September 10.
