Super Junior′s Kim Ki Bum Announces End of Contract with SM
Super Junior′s Kim Ki Bum announced via his personal SNS that his contract with SM Entertainment has ended.
Kim Ki Bum stated on his Instagram on August 20, "2015 august 18th. Finished with S.M. ent. Lets begin my new life! To SM, who has been with me during that time, thank you."
Kim Ki Bum made his debut in 2004 KBS drama April Kiss before gaining recognition through KBS′ Sharp 2. He made his debut with Super Junior thereafter in 2005, promoting actively with the group before taking a hiatus from group activities beginning with Sorry, Sorry in 2009.
Regarding this, Super Junior′s Eunhyuk said on MBC′s Radio Star, "Ki Bum wants to promote as an actor rather than a singer, so that′s what he′s doing. But he will always be Super Junior."
As an actor, Kim Ki Bum has appeared in SBS′ A Tree With Deep Roots and tvN′s I Love Lee Taeri. He most recently appeared in Chinese drama The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils.
