JYP Officially Announces Sunye and Sohee′s Withdrawal from Wonder Girls
Wonder Girls′ agency, JYP Entertainment, has officially announced Sunye and Sohee′s withdrawal from the group.
JYP released a press release on July 20, stating "Sunye and Sohee, who were active as Wonder Girls members, have withdrawn from the group. Wonder Girls will promote as a four-member group (Yeeun, Yubin, Sunmi, Hyelim), accordingly."
JYP stated, "In order to devote herself to her family, Sunye withdrew from the group and terminated her contract. Sohee decided to withdraw from the group in order to focus on what she wants to do. However, Sunye and Sohee were highly supportive of the members and their upcoming album preparations. They will continue to encourage each other as good friends."
JYP also revealed letters written by Sunye and Sohee with the announcement of their official withdrawal from the group.
Sunye wrote, "As I look and think back on our time together as a memory from now on, just being together is a tremendous amount of grace and love I will never be able to repay. Thank you once again."
Sunye continued, "I′m sorry for not being able to take full responsibility as a leader during that time and for always showing myself lacking. What I experienced with the Wonder Girls members and with all of you (the fans) was valuable, and it was a journey that made me realize such precious things. As one child′s mother and one family′s wife, I will continue to live a life in which I do my best."
Sohee said of her withdrawal, "Today marks the end of my activities as a Wonder Girls member. At a time when I′m still lacking to call myself an actress, I decided being greedy as both a singer and actress could be troublesome to Wonder Girls."
Meanwhile, Wonder Girls′ Yeeun, Yubin, Sunmi and Hyelim are preparing to make a comeback as four members.
