While Sun shared her happiness with her missionary boyfriend, Wonder Girls’ Yenny revealed an unfortunate story about the break up with her now ex-boyfriend.

Appearing on July 3’s broadcast of SBS Strong Heart, Yenny opened up about dating a non-celebrity while living in New York.

“During our Be My Baby activities, our dating restrictions were lifted, but I actually dated a bit before them. I’ve kept my promise for four years during our five years since debut,” the singer said, surprising the stars in the studio, as well as 2AM’s Jo Kwon and 2PM’s Wooyoung, who did not know of this fact despite being in the same company as Yenny.

Yenny explained that they probably didn’t know because he was not a celebrity.

She continued to explain that they met in New York and dated for around two months before breaking up due to her career and constant travel between country to country.

“After breaking up, he didn’t call, so I got a bit tipsy off of wine and called in the middle of the night, asking to get back together. But by then, he told me that he already had a new girlfriend.”

Yenny revealed that her self-composed song Girlfriend is based off of this unfortunate experience.

“I haven’t heard from him since,” she said on the show.

She also later tweeted, “As you can see in the broadcast, it was something that happened a yer ago! It’s not recent!”

Viewers were very surprised to hear Yenny’s story and commented, “I can’t believe she got dumped,” “She must have had a hard time,” and “It’s okay, Yenny. You’ll rise up above it.”
