Kang Ji Young to Dub Japanese Animated Film ‘Detective Conan’
Kang Ji Young has expanded her career over to the world of dubbing.
Japanese media outlets reported on March 30, that Kang Ji Young, the former Kara member who has been promoting in Japan, has been cast in the 19th Detective Conan film titled Detective Conan: Sunflowers of Inferno.
Challenging herself with dubbing for the first time, Kang Ji Young revealed herself a fan of Detective Conan, which she enjoyed watching since she was a child, and named Kogoro Mori as her favorite character.
In Detective Conan: Sunflowers of Inferno, Kang Ji Young will play the guide in the art museum, who introduces Van Gogh’s painting ‘Sunflower,’ which Kid the phantom goes after.
Kang Ji Young said, “I was nervous about dubbing in Japanese at first but happiness overruled it. I am happy to participate in the project at the studio where Detective Conan is being created.”
Meanwhile, Detective Conan: Sunflowers of Inferno will premiere in Japan on April 18.
