While she′s successfuly debuted now, Red Velvet′s Seul Gi shared about a time in her life that might have prevented her from becoming a star.
On March 31, Red Velvet and Huh Gak appeared as guests on SBS Radio Power FM′s Choi Hwa Jung′s Power Time.
During the radio show, Seul Gi shared about her life as a trainee.
"I was a trainee for seven years. I was picked from an audition when I was in sixth grade, and I started living the trainee life during my first year of junior high school."
When asked if she had a rough time, Seul Gi answered, "I enjoyed it for the first three or four years, but after that, I hit a slump. I wondered if this path was right for me."
She added, "But then I met my members and found the will to continue. The thing I′m good at is this and the thing that I like is also this, so I told myself to work hard and debut."
Seul Gi also shared that the agency told her not to tell anyone that she was a trainee. "But I told my closest friend. My friend kept it a tight secret so no one knew, although eventually it became known."
