B2ST Organizes Independent Label ‘B2ST Music’ in Japan and Launches Promotions
B2ST has formed an independent label ‘B2ST Music’ after its name and launched promotions in Japan.
On March 16, B2ST held a press conference in Tokyo in celebration of its 5th anniversary in Japan and to announce the foundation of the independent label ‘B2ST Music.’
‘B2ST Music’ will be a label maintained in cooperation with B2ST and some world-renowned songwriters and producers, with Yong Jun Hyung heading the team as the main producer, suggesting a direction for B2ST’s extensive music.
This is the first time that a hallyu group promoting in Japan has established an independent label after its name. Through this label, B2ST will be releasing a new song every month until December, for a total of 10 songs, starting with the first single One released in March. The group will also be launching extensive promotions, including the grand scale fan meeting set to take place in Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka starting in May.
B2ST Music’s first song One, released on March 17 through iTunes, holds the group’s determination and message to unchangingly follow only ‘one’ path. The song′s sentimental beats and hip-hop sound as the base, immediately ranked number one on Japan’s iTunes Hip-Hop Chart and charted at number 12 in the overall chart.
The music video of One also catches attention with its sentimental directing that is reminiscent of a runway and typography, without an appearance by the members, reflecting B2ST Music’s aim to compete solely with high quality music.
During the label establishment press conference on March 16, B2ST said, “Although it will not be an easy task, we hope that establishing the independent label can provide the opportunity for us to get closer to the Japanese fans. As much as we have the greed to present good songs, we believe that it’ll be a good experience.”
Having promoted twice in Korea last year, B2ST released the fourth original Japanese single in November of 2014, ranking number one on Oricon’s daily single chart.
