When you try to think of a girl group strong enough to rival Brown Eyed Girls, it′s fairly difficult. Not many groups have the fierceness or the vocal power to go up against the four-member girl group - but in the past, the Brown Eyed Girls were evidently trampled on by another group of Girls - the Wonder Girls.

On the October 12 broadcast of Mnet′s Wide Entertainment News, the members of Brown Eyed Girls will reveal their ′humiliating′ past.

Brown Eyed Girls vs the Wonder Girls?

It all started in 2007, when the group started promoting its single You Got Me Fooled from its second album. A week after the group started promotions, Wonder Girls released Tell Me, and as anybody who′s anybody can tell you, Tell Me practically became Korea’s new national anthem, drawing everyone into its simplistic magic. Brown Eyed Girls couldn’t help but leave the scene quietly.

A year later, Brown Eyed Girls was back with its old-school dance piece How Come. Again, a week later, however, Wonder Girls had returned with its own old-school piece called Nobody, bringing the group to the top on music shows and charts. Brown Eyed Girls was again thwarted in its efforts to climb to the top.

But with the 2009 single Abracadabra off its third album, Brown Eyed Girls finally became one of Korea’s beloved girl groups. The group then ventured not only inside the musical sector, but also to acting, finally showing off the charms that the members had to keep hidden for so long. Last month, the group released its fourth album with the title track Sixth Sense, and immediately rose to the top of music charts, proving its Wonder Girls jinx was over.

On the broadcast, the group will also share stories about the high notes that surpass IU’s three-stage high notes and the group’s 2 billion won music video.
