Girls’ Generation (SNSD)’s Sooyoung sent in her story to My House to help out her friend and former basketball coach Park Seung Il.

During the March 9 broadcast of JTBC’s My House, Sooyoung showed her friendship with the former basketball coach Park Seung Il.

Park Seung Il has been fighting ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, for 13 years. Lou Gehrig’s disease, which was highlighted again through the Ice Bucket Challenge, is a disorder that involves damage of the neuromuscular system, leading to paralysis of the muscles.

Sooyoung said, “The reason I’m sending a request is because of my friend. Please make an awesome healing house for my sick friend, who′s had to stay at home all day since a year ago," as she introduced her friend Park Seung Il.
