ZE:A’s Kwang Hee Selected as MC of EBS Cooking Program

ZE:A’s Kwang Hee will be hosting EBS’ representative cooking program The Best Cooking Secrets.

EBS’ The Best Cooking Secrets revealed that Kwang Hee will be hosting the show starting March 2, following Yoon Hyung Bin. Kwang Hee has expressed his interest in cooking on various programs until now and will be hosting the traditional cooking show as the only MC.

Kwang Hee said, “I’m very interested in cooking. Although I’m still not very good at cooking and don’t know certain things, I will try to make the cooking time enjoyable, filled with bright energy. Please look forward to it.” He also shared his determination to capture not only the married women but the young viewers’ attention by digging into the secrets of cooking from the beginner’s perspective, with the mindset of ‘if Kwang Hee can do it, anyone can do it.’

The production team of The Best Cooking Secrets stated, “With Kwang Hee’s bubbly charms and bright personality, we’re expecting that he will be able to step closer to the viewers like a son or a grandson full of aegyo, learning how to cook for the first time.”

The episode of The Best Cooking Secrets airing in the first week of March, featuring MC Kwang Hee, will show the recipes to stir-fried squid with rice, chicken bulgogi pizza, spring herbs with spicy stir-fried chicken and more.

Kwang Hee showed up at the filming site with ZE:A’s song called The Ghost of Wind with the lyrics changed to suit the program and actively promoted the show on his SNS. He also reportedly surprised the staff members by showing off his high level cooking skills with his energetic and bright charms.

EBS’s The Best Cooking Secrets is the only traditional cooking program on a non-cable channel, which has received love for the past 15 years by featuring numerous celebrities as the MC, including Yoon Hyung Bin, Park Soo Hong, Myung Se Bin, Kim Ji Ho and more. The show airs Monday through Friday at 10:30 a.m. (KST)
